Hello mdh, Steven Curtis Chapman is perhaps one of the most popular and successful male artists in the world of Christian music today. I have several of his releases either on CD or cassette. That was a nice Christmas song you posted. The subject matter of the song reminds me of news I heard a few years back about a tragic accident involving one of his adopted children, a daughter. The accident reminds me of a very sad accident that occurred here a number of years ago. The victim was the elementary-age daughter of one of my classmates from high school. The school bus dropped the girl off in front of her house as her mom waited in the front yard. School papers flew out of the girl's hand and landed under the bus. She was attempting to retrieve them when the school bus driver placed the bus in gear. So very tragically, the young girl was crushed by the wheels of the school bus in front of her awaiting mom. The girl's father passed away I'm guessing maybe seven to eight years later due to cancer. At least now he and his daughter are together again. Because of the accident, local school bus drivers are not permitted to drive away until all the children departing the bus are safely visible to the driver.
