LOL, mdh, "ooga chacka"! Blue Swede! Funny!!! Excellent choice going with B. J. Thomas. OWN! I attended an afternoon performance of B. J. at the auditorium where I attended high school. It was either on a Saturday or a Sunday. It was a very nice show. That same morning, I had spotted the tour bus parked outside the auditorium and asked one of the crew members if it was possible to have a couple of album covers autographed. To my delight, he told me there would be a meet and greet after the performance. Indeed there was. B.J. announced it at the end of the show saying he would be out after he cleaned up a bit. About 30 minutes later, sure enough, he appeared with semi-wet hair and in a jogging suit! I saw during the performance the crew member who I had talked to earlier that day was the guitar player. I had with me 3 or 4 of his albums and a 45 of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". During the concert, he said the song was his father's favorite of all the songs he had recorded. As he was signing my album covers, he said he hopes not to see them on eBay. From the tone of his voice, he was quite serious which surprised me! I assured him they were keepers which, of course, they are. When he was autographing one of the covers, I mentioned to him that I see he was wearing the same ring as on the cover (album "Two Car Garage"). He said it's the same ring except it has a different stone. He explained he allowed his wife to have the diamond stone for a ring she want to have made. He said during the concert he has been married only once and was still married to his wife. I had read online that he reluctantly recorded "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" only after Bobby Goldsboro had turned it down and that he (B.J) wasn't that excited about the song in the beginning and almost turned it down himself.
