It's FAIR DAY! Yay! So, KoG, did you go and what did you think of the music? We have free entertainment on one of the stages. One year our fair had an incredibly good CW band. I forget the name. Something to do with pistols, as I recall. A couple years later they returned, but they weren't the same. One guy left and his replacement just didn't have it, vocally. The group chemistry was gone. I finally listened to Panda's XFactor performance. Not bad, after just getting over pneumonia. I listened to a couple of other songs she sang in a church, and I decided she doesn't have the same dynamism as Mahalia Jackson, for example. Also, she has intonation problems. She sings sharp and that, substantially! Nevertheless, she has quite a personality and that probably makes up for some of her vocal weaknesses. Henk and I, under "Remember the Message..." on the other board, are having a discussion about the blues. I spent HOURS yesterday listening to blues and gospel music. When I can categorize songs into groupings, I will upload some over there. You might enjoy listening. I told Henk he needs to come up with a new name for the thread and start it. The above-mentioned one is getting too long. Anyhow, it will be a good musicology exercise for me. Because I'm just stabbing and poking, I'm sure I'll make some stupid mistakes. That's part of learning!
