Well, got to see the Dewey/America show last night. As always Kevin, you guided me in the right direction. The show was excellent and did not disappoint. After I got used to the fact Gerry wasn’t actually on stage I sat back and really enjoyed the show. They were all in fine form, including Dewey. I was surprised he took the lead vocals on a couple of Gerry’s tunes, I Need You and Here for example and he sounded awesome on them. The show seemed to me much more rocking then past shows also. As I thought, my favorite tunes were the ones I hadn’t heard live for a while, Ride On, Old Man Took, and Wind Wave. Unfortunately he took out Nothing So Far As Yesterday but on the bright side added a blistering version of Green Monkey! I liked the cover of Cinnamon Girl and as always, California Dreaming but I think if I was in charge of the set list I would replace those with maybe Three Roses, Company or Amber Cascades. Just a small tweak like that would put the show on an even higher level. But I get it, he’s trying to entertain the whole and not just me. All in all, a very enjoyable evening. Why would I expect anything less!DanC
