After Dan left the group the first album I got was silent letter. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Then I got View from the ground. I didn't like it. I've recently starting listening to View from the ground boy was I wrong the album is FANTASTIC.
Simple reason for this response. They weren't as good when Dan Peek left. They were still a great band. But they lost one of the legs of their three-legged stool. That's a huge gap.
Let’s try this again. Your review is purely subjective. One of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands is Silent Letter. So, there you go. BTW,the new record, Live at the HollywoodBowl is nothing short of fantastic!DanC
I wasn't crazy about SL but I did think like Dewey said along the way that I thought Only game in town would have done better but i did like foolin for a single.. over the years i think they goofed a bit with their single selections... hideaway...don't let it get you down to me was a chance to show the world they were more than soft rock.. and alibi - man did i love survival and might be your love and others.. that to me was a great album.. again they would have shown they were growing ... i wish they didn't go with right before your eyes either.. never be lonely or sgt darkness... but they were great... and still fun to see... well Dewey.... Here and Now was a great comeback and mix with generations of new folks....
