A Pleasant Surprise On TV
Posted on: 12/08/2019 11:30 AM

I was pleasantly surprised to see in the local TV schedule that the guys were appearing on PBS for a concert this past Thursday night. It was listed as "America Live at the London Palladium (America Celebrates 50 Years). I believe it was actually a 2018 performance but am not totally sure.

It was the standard list of hit songs. It was the first time for me to see Ryland on the drums during an entire show. I was very impressed with his enthusiastic drumming! He's definitely as asset to the band.

Couldn't help but notice a thread on the left cuff of Gerry's sleeve was dangling down during the show. It was about five inches long. It reminded me of how at times elderly women (and some elderly men) can't see that they have a singular long whisker coming off below their chin. Makes you want to reach out and pull it. Also, I noticed that Gerry's earphones had the Asian yin yang design.

If the viewer was a non-diehard fan, I'm sure they were very impressed with the performance. Even as a diehard, I thought it was a very good show.

Dave - As the old adage goes: "Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."

In my mind I think I'm still in my 30s. The mirror, however, says I'm delusional, LOL.

Care to share your birth year? If not, no problem. 1956 here.
