This is the only America site that I visit so the following may have been mentioned already on the other America sites. However, if not, it may be of interest to some fans here:

Just great to read this article. Many thanks K of G for adding it.Same for me, this is and always has been the only site I visit. It's so refreshing to discover one of Dewey's personal interests and meet Penny. We all know their history and set lists backwards but I would love to know more about their everyday life. I vaguely know Dewey has relatives here in Yorkshire, England. Roseberry Topping. He likes photography. What does he do when he visits? Gerry's Mum used to live in Sussex, a beautiful area of England...Gerry used to have a house there...that's it! Perhaps they want their lives to be private which I can understand and respect I suppose. So be it. It's just that, when the ghosted biography comes out, what can we expect? The usual history from the beginnings that we could all write ourselves. Wouldn't it be great if they joined in here occasionally to acknowledge their fans on this site. Tell us directly a bit about themselves in the real world. Just saying that's all.

Derrick - I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed reading the article about Dewey and Penny and their love and involvement with wild horses. I totally agree with you about how nice it is to learn about the duo and what things they enjoy away from music. Concerning Gerry, I enjoy viewing his photos that he takes in Venice. I find them to be most interesting.
On a different note, just want to mention that next week will be the one year anniversary of Shasta's passing. She sure did fight a valiant battle against her illness. I admired her strength and courage tremendously. I know that her faith carried her all along the way.

Hello K of G. It's so kind and thoughtful of you to alert us to this sad anniversary of Shasta's passing. I felt that she was possibly the mainstay of this site and since she's been gone, there really has been an emptiness in the contributions. She inspired so many fans to write in here from all over the world. Shasta seemed to have such a fantastic musical knowledge and could discuss so many topics and ideas around the group America. She gave me such support during my illness which is something you never forget. She was fascinated with where fans of this site lived and looked up info to improve her knowledge. I feel she's always here with us, joining in, even though she's not writing directly. Always part of us.
Thank you again K of G for reminding us.
God Bless.
