Yet another new item appears on YouTube that I haven't seen before....America singing(along to?)'Survival' on Rai 1 tv show, 1980ish. They all look so youthfully fresh and clean. Who is that on bass please?
Derrick

I found this:

America's Survival on Rai Uno, 2010
Is this the one you are referring to? If so, that is Rich Campbell on bass.
Thanks,
Mo

Many Thanks for the reply Moser!
No, that's not the one altho' it's interesting. The one I meant is entitled America Survival (TV Show 1982) Video & Audio Restaurati HD.
It's had 92K views, so there are obviously plenty of fans in Italy!
I'm afraid I'm not computer savvi, so don't know how to add a link.
I just couldn't make out who the bass player is.
I have to say, they all look terribly embarrassed having to mime...particularly Michael over-pretending to play the guitar lick! Haha.
Amazing how things still suddenly turn up though.

No sign of Tin Man from The Old Grey Whistle Test yet.....who knows....that might appear too sometime.
Best Wishes to all.
Derrick

Many thanks for taking the trouble to check.
All the Best.

Nice! Great clip from twenty years before I started to see America live, although that's the very same line up. Some other things have not changed to this day--white sneaks on Ger (Nike, here), boots on Dewey, and Gerry knowing EXACTLY where the camera is. Good to know. Thank you for sharing.

Please don't get me going about Alibi... survival should have been the first single and that album would have been up there with the first 2 and holiday.... and perhaps kept the guys more visible so albums like here and now would be well known... i think that might be your love and hangover were amazing and it has to be one of Dewey's best Albums... and Gerry's voice was at it's best.... i love that album..... i lived with a bunch a zeppelin and who fans and they always had Alibi on the play list... my best bud LOVED Valentine ...
