Jack Russell Terriers
Posted on: 07/26/2015 11:46 AM

Good Morning Bluey! Yesterday I had a surprise visit from a cousin I haven't seen in 25 years. Guess what! He has a 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier - named JACK! I'm SURE it's a VERY rare name for the breed, eh? Jack is a very well-behaved little dog, rather timid. He pulled the heavy plastic handle on his leash off the sofa onto the floor, making a bang and it scared him! He's a ball player! Has a big, knobby squishy ball and he brought that to me immediately when I got the tour of their 5th-wheel trailer! We had several go-rounds. He likes to play tug-o-war and I learned with my 2nd German Shepherd that if you wanna keep your hands, you don't play tug-o-war!

I just saw your thread topic Ellen and wondered what Jack Russells have to do with Dan Peek or America??? :)

Unlike other websites I have visited, we are very fortunate having a webmaster that doesn't restrict topics of conversations. Thanks Rich.

We got Jack from a Jack Russell Rescue Site about 6 years ago. He's about 8-9 years old.
They have a policy of not disclosing a dog's history, particularly if it was mistreated or such.
They just want the new owners to love their dogs and give them a new lease of life.

When we left him at the boarding kennel recently, they had 4 "Jacks" booked in.
One owner had two - "Jack" and "Russell" :).

They are very active, mischievious but a lot of fun.

Bluey.

Hi Bluey! I'm glad you checked this out! Yes, I also appreciate the fact that Rich permits us to make broader-based relationships with other fans, than just America's music. It's America's music that brought us here in the first place. Personally, I find it fun to see what other fans are interested in!

Besides, Dan loved dogs! Bigger than JR Terriers, but still... Dewey loves dogs and I know Gerry has had dogs. It fits!!!

Hello Bluey! Just yesterday evening I was checking out the latitude for Sydney, to see how it compares with here. Closer to the equator, and if I remember correctly, you're north of Sydney???

Anyhow, I LOVED the first video. "Jack" wore himself out, waitin' for Santa! What a cute video!!! The 2nd one got me hooked on the photos. Very nice vintage. Then I discovered that my favorite Christmas color combination is red and blue, instead of the traditional red and green! Several years ago I made placements out of fabric with those colors!

We're back into a hot weather pattern through this week. I'm glad, as I want to swim some more! It's been very hit and miss this year. Be encouraged, Bluey! Our daylight hours are shrinking, noticeably. It won't be long...
