My song.
Posted on: 02/02/2021 08:11 PM

Hey, everyone on this great site, check out the song I wrote for my daughter. Steve Lowry was nice enough to put it on this site's home page, under the America Tribute songs listing.

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP8zPTIOY08%22

She recently got married, which is so tough to do during COVID. Since so few people could come to the wedding, I thought I would do something special for her. She thought we were going to be doing our Father of the Bride song to Jason Isbell's awesome new song, "Letting You Go." But I surprised her with a song I wrote.

People always ask, is that guy good enough for your daughter? Well, I got to thinking, was I? So I wrote this about a father hoping he did all he could for his daughter as he gives her away.

Enjoy.

That was an awesome tune. My guess is she said yes. You’re a good man Kevin. I’m sure She thinks it’s an honor to be you’re daughter. Very touching and heartfelt. I was thinking what my 2 girls would have thought had I the talent to put these feelings and words to paper.DanC

Wow....well done Kevin! As the father of two daughters myself, I totally saw me in the lyrics to this. My girls are early 20's now--not married yet--but any daughter would be proud to have their dad put something like this together for them...:)

Sweet, Kevin. It tugged at my heart, I would bet it tugged at your daughter's too.

Are all your girls married now?

Lovely video.

Robyn, glad you liked it.

No, only two of the five are married. They both got married last year.

Wow... that's a great song. I have a daughter hoping to walk down the aisle this October (COVID). I wish I had the skill and courage to do what you did for your daughter. I'm sure she is very proud of her dad and will always treasure your thoughtful Father and Daughter song.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. She was totally stunned, I think in a good way.

Good luck with your daughter's wedding. COVID makes everything so much more stressful.
