I know this is an America blog but today reminded me of another band and song from the past. Crystal Blue Persuasion, by Tommy James & the Shondells, is a rather appropriate and inspiring tune don’t ya think?DanC

Tommy James's record company was owned by a guy named Morris Levy, who was a gangster and later thrown in jail. But James always said that Levy left him alone and didn't dictate musical directions or styles or try to lord over him like other record company owners would do.

Crystal Blue Persuasion is a great song.

If you get a chance check out the book Me, the mob, & the music. It’s a cool read about Tommy James and Morris Levy’s involvement with the band.DanC
