After catastrophic bushfire warnings, fires and hazardous smoke that drifted from other regions of our state, followed by destructive storms, the first 2019 America Australian show at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney was a breath of fresh air.
This was a particularly vibrant show from the outset with some updates on the videos, masterful playing by the newest member of the band, Steve, and some new banter.
Everyone was at the top of game with the music. We were impressed with the rich layering of the vocals and the sound of all the instruments and the energy with which they were played.
There were times when the band could have stopped singing because the audience was doing a fine job on Ventura Hwy, California Dreamin’ and Sister Golden Hair.
The really big treat for us was hearing Survival live for the first time. It is a great song.
Here is the set list.
Miniature
Tin Man
Magic
Don’t Cross the River

Hi Margaret
Glad you had a great concert in Sydney, I’m ready for Melbourne! I like the set list too although To each his Own and Baby it’s up to You are favourites I would have liked to hear again.
