A Fool Fooled While Foolin' Around
Posted on: 10/26/2019 11:14 AM

Of the eight America songs written by any of the three members of the former trio, there is only one containing the word "fool" or some form of it that wasn't written by Gerry. That song was Dan's "Jet Boy Blue." None by Dewey. Here are the seven songs by Gerry:

SARAH
Sarah, please
Where is the love you said you'd save for me
Am I a fool to think that something's strange
I think you've changed

LOOK AT ME NOW
Hey now
Woman look what you've done
Unleashed this fool on everyone

INSPECTOR MILLS
Inspector Mills is it any crime for a fool like me
Try to use your time 'cause I wanna see; you just send me the bill
Inspector Mills, Inspector Mills

VAGABOND
Don't be fooled by persons
Cross your path on the way
You must leave quite certain
'Cause they'll beg you to stay

5TH AVENUE
How many times must I look up and say
What kind of fool am I
But I can't turn my back on the times that we shared
No matter how I try

FOOLIN'
I think it's called a lesson learned
When one so close suddenly turns
Leaves you standing on your own
Got no place to call your home
So I think you better stop this foolin' 'round

NEVER BE LONELY
Never be lonely anymore
Turn away the fools from my door
Always wanna be your one and only
Never be lonely

that's it... i am buying a search engine.... Jet Boy Blue another tremendous song... you know what i think about alibi and to me the first album where to me they goofed on single was hideaway... don't let it get you down and jet boy blue.... great great songs...today's the day... that's fine - a slow hit on every album is great... didn't really mind amber but ... these two songs were great... i know they tried she's a liar and where i used to hang out the it got some plays, especially by me... but to me the other two were way better suited... just my two cents

Absolutely. "Jet Boy Blue" and "Don't Let It Get You Down" would have been great selections to have been released from "Hideaway."

Did you know that "Jet Boy Blue" was released AS A SINGLE IN JAPAN?

Regarding buying a search engine, no need to, Dave. Just Click Here and it will take you to Steve Lowry's site. Then go to the left of the screen. You're see a blue box. The search engine's available as the fourth tab from the top. Have fun!

Regarding "Today's The Day," I still say that's there must be some unspoken reason why the song isn't played by the duo in concerts. It has to be more than the reason given by the guys that it's too slow. Rather a lame reason in my opinion being that there are other slow songs on the current playlist that could easily be swapped out or at least on occasion. I guess us fans will never know, but there surely has to be a more legitimate reason.
