Does anyone know the ticketmaster codeword for Melbourne concert tickets? I have been registered with America as a favourite for years but the system never seems to work! Thanks Ainsley

Hi Ainsley,

R had to update all his details and they sent him a new password. He phoned to try to get tickets from the box office. The guy was gone for ages and when R only had the new password he was told that it wasn't the one they needed so he would have to wait until the general sale started. We lost so much time.

I was having a lot of trouble with the Sydney ones with all the seats where we would want to be, sold or unavailable. I ended up getting tickets too far away but it was them or even worse.

After that I had a go for the Melbourne tickets online with the password for R's account. I didn't expect it to work, but it did, so update your details and see if that works. The seats weren't as close as you and I would like to be but they are certainly better than what I got in Sydney.

Buying tickets here is a really awful experience. Something always seems to go wrong and then you find that other people have been able to snap up 10 tickets!!

Thanks Margaret,

I realized I didn't need a password and waited for the countdown for sales to open and BAM hardly any close tickets for sale left and when I tried to buy any they sold from under my nose (my brother had the same problem).

It seems we are now in the clutches of these ticket resale sites like viagogo that buy blocks of tickets and resale at higher prices. I know Midnight Oil have just had real problems with this.

I have made the nail biting decision to hold off buying to see if tickets have been held back to sell at the general release date.
Crazy I know but if I cant get close I may as well wait and buy some at the back or even try the resale inflated price sites.

It makes me so MAD however there is a concert to enjoy one way or another!

Hi Margaret,

Did get my tickets finally. They are in the eighth row so not too bad although Margaret as we both know we prefer closer but happy to be going and can't wait. Still annoyed at the general practice of these ticket sites though I can't believe all the front section is sold out from under us like that. I ended up getting mine from the venue site and now we will probably see tickets for sale on these resale sites. Very frustrating.

Glad that your waiting paid off. It doesn't always work that way!

Looking forward to the tour.
