Merry Christmas Eve and Christmas to you as well, mdh (and to all others here)! I have never heard Ed Ames' "The Ballard Of The Christmas Donkey". I enjoyed it very much, thanks! When Ed Ames is mentioned, I often think of the time he was on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson and the following demonstration as posted. As it turns out, the answer to Carson's last remark is that Ames actually is! Folks our age surely remember Ames as Mingo on the TV Western, "Daniel Boone". Ed Ames On "The Tonight Show" Back in 1965 One of my favorite modern day Christmas songs is the following written and sung by its original writer and singer followed by Toto's Joseph Williams with his cover which I think gives the song a different sound. It's my understanding this is Japan's most popular Christmas song: TATSURO YAMASHETA "Christmas Eve" JOSEPH WILLIAMS "Christmas Eve" Cover
