LEE GREENWOOD One 4th of July a few years ago, Lee Greenwood came to town to perform a free outdoor afternoon concert sponsored by the city as part of its July 4th celebration. I was very surprised that Lee Greenwood selected my home town to attend being that he is in extremely high demand to sing during the 4th. I had brought along my mandolin in hopes of having it autographed by him after his performance. After his last song, I rushed from my seat with mandolin in hand hoping to catch him as he exited the stage. To my delight, he stopped to sign autographs for only about a half dozen or so other fans who had the same idea in mind. I had brought along with me a new black Sharpie. When it came my turn, I offered my Sharpie to LG, but he wanted to use the one he already had in his hand and pushed my hand away as he accepted the mandolin from me, LOL. His signature on the mandolin is one of my proudest to have which contains only country music artists. "God Bless The USA" New Version and The Making of the Song
