Nice choice, mdh, going with the Grass Roots. OWN! The songs of the Grass Roots were among my favorites when I was in junior high being that they were most popular at about that time. I have both the LP and CD of their greatest hits. Both contain 16 songs each; however, three songs are different. On the LP, which is from 1971, the three songs are "Feelings," "Walking Through The Country" and "I Can Turn Off The Rain". On the CD the three songs are "Two Divided By Love," "Glory Bound" and "The Runway". The CD was manufactured in 1996 so I assume after 1971, the three songs on the CD outsold the three on the LP, but that's merely speculation on my part. Some years ago, lead singer Rob Grill came to town to perform a free outdoor concert sponsored by the city. He put on a great show and even did a meet and greet afterwards, but I didn't stay for it as I was with two other people and didn't want them to have to wait. It was basically like attending a Grass Roots performance with Grill singing their greatest hits. He sang most of the concert while seated on a stool. He explained he was in need of hip surgery but was putting it off. He performed a couple of cover songs which I really enjoyed. One of them was Edison Lighthouse's "Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" which was a song we talked about here. The other was by a group I plan to select soon. Is the song with a part of the melody as you mentioned from "Feelings" an America song by Dan?
