mdh - That is a very good and interesting question regarding Tom Johnston or Michael McDonald. I like both guys as Doobie members. I have seen the Doobies in concert only once and that was when "What A Fool Believes" was at the top of the charts. I'm not much of a Michael McDonald fan regarding his solo work. I have not purchased any of the Doobies albums after the release of "One Step Closer" which I believe was the last album McDonald was with them as a member. So, it's sort of mixed up for me concerning the Doobies. I like how Pat Simmons has been the steady force for them for all these years. If the Doobies had released another album with McDonald as a member, I probably would have purchased it. I really like the songs Johnston wrote and sang lead prior to McDonald. I guess I'll just leave it at that. I realize that's not much of a direct answer. What about for you?
