There are still fires burning but the worst seems to have passed for NSW and Queensland for now. Parts of South Australia and Western Australia are facing catastrophic conditions today. Yesterday Sydney was blanketed in smoke and that has mostly gone today. Hard to know what will happen over the next week but I doubt any of the tour venues will be affected. We are in a national park where a fire was deliberately lit last week. Fortunately it was put out quickly. More than 1.5 million hectares have been burnt, hundreds of homes destroyed and several lives lost. We are used to preparing for fire but now it seems unpredictable and the fires are more intense. And it's not yet summer. Hopefully we will get some rain soon. Jude
