OT: "Fooled Around And Fell In Love"

We all hate to admit it, but there's times when we discover something that we never knew but should have. Here's a case about something I never knew until the other day. It's regarding Elvin Bishop's song, "Fooled Around And Fell In Love." I wasn't and still am not much of a fan of Elvin Bishop's music except for the above mentioned song and have always liked this particular song a lot. What I didn't know until the other day when I viewed the song on YouTube is the fact that the lead singer of the song is Starship's Mickey Thomas. Here is an awesome video of
"Fooled Around And Fell In Love"
from a 1976 broadcast of The Midnight Special where Mickey Thomas sings a superb take of the song. Something else that I didn't know was that Starship came to town one year ago this past August to put on a free concert sponsored by the city and a local foundation. This year's free concert was that of Bret Michaels. He put on a great show, but I would much rather have seen Starship instead. Oh well.
