Yes, there are some very active Facebook groups with a fun mix of knowledgeable fans and slightly crazy fan(atic)s posting photos of Gerry or Dewey. I miss the older days of this forum as a place to meet and discuss with others, but I think it still serves a very useful purpose as both a repository of knowledge and a more intimate place to have deeper discussions without a lot of side chatter that happens as Facebook threads get kind of hijacked more easily than these do. The recent discussion on "Follow the Buffalo" is a perfect example of the kind of discussion that appears here that would be difficult to have on Facebook, I think. I also miss the weekly live chats we used to have about ten years ago. Those were really fun times and days in which I met some folks, virtually, who have in real life become some of my dearest friends. I don't get to this forum as often as I used to, but I still appreciate all that I can read here. But, for a more active but perhaps more shallow (but fun!) spot, also check out Facebook Search for "America Fans" group, as well as my favorite spot of delightful zaniness...the "Spacebook" group devoted to Gerry, named after the joke he makes during the concerts in which he pretends not to know the name Facebook. Shasta, you will be in my prayers, as will all of us who face the infirmities of life. I wish you good health and happiness. And best wishes to all the other familiar names on here, and greetings to the names I don't recognize so well! Keep up the great discussions here! Long live the America Fan Blog! Best wishes, CaptDan
