Yes, but Bluey, I thought you said you worked for years in the newspaper business! You have me confused.
After graduating from high school my first job was a copy boy with Sydney's Daily Mirror. In those days journalism wasn't a university course. To start a career in journalism, you had to have the required education status and begin your journey as a "copy boy". At that time Sydney boasted about three high level newspaper companies. Rupert Murdoch owned the Mirror. They all had similar structures by way of awarding two cadetships per year to successful applicants (copy boys) who were evaluated on their performance and passing relevant in-house examinations on a wide range of varied topics. I was with the Mirror for 2 years but ironically I was offered a cadetship with a Sydney rival newspaper. It was a wonderful opportunity but my life lead me down another path. "It's Life". I told Dan that my wife's favorite of his solos was "Thank You Lord". "Brotherly Love" was also a favorite. He liked that.
Bye for now. Bluey.
